Appreciate your light

I know how challenging it has been to return to a life you no longer feel is what you want or that maybe you dont know if you want.

All I do knows is that whenever I have felt lost in my past, I just find one thing in the future to look forward to and use my present to do as many things as possible to prepare for that!

Some days are harder than others. Some days I felt more myself and other days I loved being back "home" and thought "I really like this place." But other days I would remember my memories of a better place and how much I enjoyed myself and it was really hard to go back and forth between these days and feelings.

But remember that you can make a decision every day to walk down a new street, climb a new mountain, read a new book, cook a meal for your friends, write your grandfather a letter, day dream about the life you want and how to get it.

You aren’t stuck, you’re just there a little while and then you can explore the world again.

Of course people are going to notice that you have changed. When we look in the minor everyday we never see our changes, but if we look at photos from one year ago, suddenly it becomes so obvious. This is the same with our changes on the inside.

You’ve been seeing new sights, experiencing a new life, meeting new people, speaking a new language, of course you’re different. But that's a good thing. If you came back the same, that, wouldn’t be good.

And for the rest of your life you will continue to change. And for the rest of your life you will outgrow people, but the best news is that those sho really love you for you, will grow with you. And you will lift up those around you. Anyone who doesn’t like the new you can simply fuck off.
